Day ? (I don't even know anymore!) The Last School

We stopped at one school on Saturday (take a look at Saigon traffic at 7:30 am). This school is designed for girls who have been abused or traffiked. They all live in shelters or with foster famililes and attend school here. In Vietnam, the students have a shortened school day so that they can work in the afternoon, but they attend school Monday through Saturday. The girls enjoyed playing games and creating artwork.

My "candy expert" also passed out treats to the students!

On Sunday, girls in the Catalyst Scholarship Program will take buses from Kien Giang, Dong Thap and Saigon to a beach resort in Long Hai! They will have a full day of fun, stay in the hotel (the first time for many) see a movie (Vietnamese cartoons) and get to play at the beach with us!

My friend Dorothy is on the Catalyst Medical Team. One of the students (through a translator) told her she is so excited to go because she has 2 sisters who live in Kien Giang and are part of the scholarship program. They will also be at the beach in to Long Hai as well. This is the first time the girls will be together in over a year. We don't know why she is a the "Cozy House" in Saigon, or how she got there, but I'm sure the story isn't good. This week, she was at least able to get some extra treats, play games, get a present and go to the beach because of the generous contributions Catalyst received! Thanks Everybody!
